Aurora, TX UFO Crash

We visited Aurora, Texas on April 11th to explore the legend of an alien being buried in the community cemetery after
crashing into a windmill almost 110 years to the day. Judge J.S. Proctor owned the property where the windmill
was located according to some sources while others said Proctor never had a windmill. Various sources indicated in
our research that the actual grave has been completely removed many years ago, but not before metal detectors
showed metal that was reportedly "unearthly." Heavy machinery dug the grave and surrounding
dirt out and was taken away. We found an area of particular interest that was devoid of tombstones with the graves
nearby dated near 1897 that may have been the location of the grave. Today it seems the trail of the legend has
gone very cold and like so many will remain a topic of speculation. Journalism in the late 1890's was not quite
so factual as we would think as newspapers tended to be a bit "tabloid." The cemetery is also the location of the
famous epitaph of Nellie Burris (1891-1893) which read, "As I Was So Soon Done, I Don't Know Why I was Begun."
She was probably a victim of meningitis as many were during the time period. Did we tread upon ground that once
held proof of extraterrestrials? Very doubtful, but if we did it was great to be able to do so.
