Virginia Creeper

Six of us rode the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail July 11 from Whitetop Station to Damascus, Va. This section is 17 miles long and is virtually all down hill alongside a beautiful creek, through mountain countryside and over trestles. Over the last few years we have ridden the whole length of the 34 mile trail, some parts more than once. (With other area trails too, but that's another story) Damascus, Virginia, could be considered Mountain Biketown, USA with the town overridden with bicyclists and many businesses catering to them. For exercise, beautiful scenery and fun, it doesn't get much better.
